The Miss Indonesia beauty contest that was founded by RCTI and Martha Tilaar Group is now in its 5th year, and Sariayu Martha Tilaar is asked once more by RCTI to be the program's sponsor and official makeup sponsor. The search for women who are considered exemplary in matters of personality, intellectuality, and social proclivity is seen to synergize perfectly with the concept of Sariayu Martha Tilaar. Especially so as the finalist from 33 province have to embody the requisite BE SHE (Beauty, Smart, Healthy, Eastern Value), which refers to wholesome natural beauty, that has been the essence of Sariayu.

Throughout the activities-laden quarantine period, the makeup of all the Miss Indonesia 2008 finalists, naturally, becomes a focal point. For that purpose, the team from Sariayu Martha Tilaar revamps the finalist with the 2009 color trend of Cantika Jawa Timur that was inspired by the charm of the Reog Ponorogo traditional dance and the lush conservation area of Alas Purwo National Park and its inhabitants, especially the gorgeous green peacock. Sariayu’s mission to preserve nature has gotten the full support from WWF – Indonesia. Through this program, every consumer’s purchase of 1 (one) product from Sariayu 2009 trend, IDR, 500, - will be donated and managed by WWF – Indonesia to support nature’s preservation through education.
The Rudy Hadisuwarno Cosmetics brand will also take part as sponsor for Miss Indonesia. Their latest Hair Growth Serum innovation that contains various natural ingredients is able to prevent hair loss, stimulate hair growth, and restore the health of the scalp.
There are three additions to the Miss Indonesia 2009 winners, which are Miss Kulit Tercantik (or the Most Beautiful Skin), won by Viviane from Bali; Miss Tubuh Sehat (or the Healthiest Body), from Sariayu Martha Tilaar, won by Emmi Asmin from South Sumatera, and Miss Rambut Terindah (or Most Beautiful Hair) from Rudy Hadisuwarno Cosmetics that was won by Sisilia Kesuma Dewi from the Riau Islands.

On Friday, 29 May 2009, all the finalists of Miss Indonesia 2009 attended the Martha Tilaar factory at Pulogadung.
